Johanna "Josie" Schatz
With almost 20 years of experience as a Physical Therapist, I have helped thousands of people just like you who have sustained injuries to their muscles, tendons, bones, and nerves to feel better. I have strived to get them back to their job, their sport, and their everyday activities at or above the functional level where they were before the injury. I am driven, and I care. Numerous continuing education classes, careful observation to my patients response to treatment, and open mindedly accepting ideas of other professionals has brought me to a high skill level and has molded me into a top professional in my field. I have come again to a point in my life where i ask myself, "How can I improve?" and, "How can I help more people?". I do my best to get people well as fast as possible and to heal through their injury while maintaining as much normalcy in their activities as is safe to do so. But, how about if I could PREVENT them from getting injured in the first place? Stop the injury progression right in its tracks before it actually started to cause a problem? Teach people what to do on their own? Not only could the unmeasurable amount of pain and suffering be avoided, but thousands of dollars could be saved in medical related costs, additional insurance premiums, reduced productivity, and time off of work....read more
I want to share my knowledge with you, your team, your workers!
Josie, professional athlete
I am a Division I, two sport (volleyball and basketball) athlete that transitioned to playing beach volleyball after graduation. I have successfully competed on the AVP tour, was ranked in the top 10 of the NVL tour, and was the number 1 ranked AAA player for 3 years on the local CBVA tour as well. My athletic achievements bring important characteristics to my Physical Therapy career that I, in turn, pass on to my patients. These include discipline, commitment, attention to technique, and motivation. And I can prove these techniques work because I practice what I preach so that I can still be known to be without injury and famous for my 6 pack even in my 40’s!
There's nothing that equals the pride that I feel as a mother of a middle school aged boy (that will soon be taller than me!). Being a Physical Therapist is much like being a Teacher and a Parent. Not only must I be an expert in my field, but I must be able to present and share my knowledge in a way such that there is trust and understanding. To do that, I must first understand you. With all my years of experience and with all the thousands of patients I have helped, I have carefully and attentively analyzed all that is relevant to your musculoskeletal wellbeing. Together, we will think and grow outside of the mainstream wellness protocol box.
